Nowadays, as for curriculum reforms, the “flipped classroom” is without doubt the most popular around the world. Since it was widely used in America in 2011, it has attracted much attention from other parts of the world because of its unique points.This new kind Teaching Form of Education subverted traditional classroom teaching modes and is playing an important role in arousing students' learning motivation and potential. It has the advantages that can let the teachers teach students in accordance with their abilities, which other teaching modes are really difficult to meet. Meanwhile it is the new product of the information and network age. As a result, it lights Chinese educators' enthusiasm of the teaching reforms after coming to China. As the“flipped classroom”is spreading in China,more and more schools and teachers put themselves into studying this teaching form. As far as history class is concerned, it is still a new field that fewer teachers are using. Therefore,there are surely many problems when it is brought in class. With the writer's experience and teaching practice, this thesis is going to study how to put this teaching form into history teaching, aiming to work out a couple of teaching doubts and problems. For example, the origin and the present of “flipped classroom”; the application of the teaching model; the advantages of putting “flipped classroom” into middle school class; the operating process, the expected problems and the solutions of using this teaching form.This thesis is mainly divided into three parts. First, it analyzes the definition and the process of “flipped classroom”and introduces some examples from home and abroad in order to work out a detailed explanation of this teaching mode. Second, according to the writer's teaching experience, it expresses the advantages and positive effects on students,shows readers the teaching models from the writer himself and introduces teaching models from both China and foreign countries with one history class case in the end to be evidence.The last part is mostly to analyze the difficulties and ways to solutions when developing“flipped classroom”in history class, hoping to help those teachers who are willing to put this form into their classes.This thesis endeavors to summarize the feasibility and suitability of using the “flipped classroom” in middle school history teaching and find out how it promoted the middle students' learning ability in history. Based on the current researches, the “flipped classroom” ismostly applied to science instead of liberal arts. Though it is much difficult to extend the use of the “flipped classroom” in middle school history class, there are still some hopes.The “flipped classroom” has shown its unique advantages in teaching practice for the big enthusiasm of the students. It will provide us with some basic ideas for researching the “flipped classroom” in the middle school history teaching. This teaching mode which is full of vitality and popular among the students and will surely inject fresh blood and bring a big change to our middle school history teaching reform.
