The real purpose of education is not to teach, but to teach students to learn how to learn. The cultivation of students' independent learning ability is an important goal of the current education reform. As a result, letting students learn how to learn, how to think and how to live has become the key point in the current education reform. In 2011, the "Khan Academy was established, which has brought about a new round of education reform featured by the “Flipped Classroom model”, which, since 2011 has been becoming popular in schools across the USA. This brand-new teaching model has gradually spread around the world, and this caused wide-spread attention from people in the field of education.This article, considering the true situation, aims to explore and find a relatively systematic framework and a way of thinking to guide the students to conduct independent learning, based on the analysis of several related theories and the analysis of Senior high school students' independent learning ability in the Chinese language class as well as on the actual fact of our school-featured Flipped Classroom Model exploration. Here this piece mainly deals with the following aspects on the background of Flipped Classroom Model, through the research into senior high school students' ability of independent learning in the Chinese language class.The first part mainly elaborates the reason why this topic is chosen, including the benefits of the Flipped Classroom Model and its necessity on the background of the current classroom teaching reform. Also the purpose and significance are expounded concerning the changes of the teachers teaching philosophy, teaching style, students' learning style as well as their independent learning ability, according to the teacher's personal education practice under the Flipped Classroom Model background. Elaborates domestic and foreign review of documents, other materials and its development trend. By referring to the related materials, analyzing data, summarizing the research results of the scholars both at home and abroad about Flipped Classroom Model and independent learning, I'll try to find out where my research is going, have a good combination of Flipped Classroom Model and independent learning, and put forth my own way to do the research.The second part analyzes the status quo of Senior high school students' independent learning of the Chinese language. A deep analysis is given from the aspects of their learning objectives, self-study of the textbooks, time control of the self-study as well as their thinking awareness during the self-study. In this way many existing problems will be exposed and pointed out. Combining what I've learned from various different theories on learning, I'll have a great chance to find better strategies and ways to build up students' independent learning ability.The third part mainly details what I am doing in the Flipped Classroom practice from such aspects as Objective Guidance, Self-study of the text, Micro Course-aided Learning, Cooperative Learning, Self-appraisal as well as Self-reflection. Besides, a few supplements are made based on some certain cases.The fourth part I put forward my own rational thinking based on my experience with the Flipped Classroom practice. During the process of the writing of this thesis, I managed to combine theory with practice, and made new and bold attempts in teaching design, classroom practice, the design of learning-aid paper and the act of classroom teaching. Also I made a presentation in the appendix some excellent examples of classroom teaching act and learning-aided paper design.
