| Many Yunnan prefecture-level universities have the problems of the scattered distribution and the backward economical culture, thus hindering the development of football sport. There are only quite few football teams from the Yunnan prefecture-level universities to take part in the provincial college-student sports meeting or national football match (Yunnan division), which indicates that the football sport in Yunnan prefecture has fallen behind and lacked in support. In the long term, it will surely go against the tendency of the reform in the national football sports, not to speak of fully realizing the guidance effect of football sports on quality education.Through the literature review, expert interview, questionnaire, field survey and mathematical statistics, this paper has made a study of the current stats of football sport in Yunnan prefecture-level universities. It has also analyzed the factors influencing the development of football sport so as to provide the countermeasure for Yunnan prefecture-level universities.The research result is presented as follows. Firstly, the development of football sports in prefecture-level universities is of significant realistic meaning. Besides helping the school achieve the target for sports education, it can play an important role in enhancing the exchange and cooperation on football sport in the world as well as carrying out the external publicity for prefecture-level universities. Secondly, the football field in the Yunnan prefecture-level universities is faced with some problems such as the inferior quality and low utilization rate. The fund is mainly acquired from the school while the external funding is hard to obtain. Hence, it has a negative effect on the organization of football event in terms of facility and fund. Thirdly, many prefecture-level universities should still improve on teaching faculty and professional ability. The football teachers are mainly made up of young and middle-aged teachers. The degree and title are not designed rationally. They have not yet attached significance to professional research and thus should further improve the professional ability through training. Fourthly, the positive atmosphere of football sport on the campus has not been created. Due to the lack of supporting measure, the football sport can not be organized and guided in an orderly manner as an extracurricular activity. The football sport on the campus has been seriously suspended or shrank, depriving those students of the chance to participate. Fifthly, the building and management of football sport are not well regulated. In addition to the limited exercise, those students also have little chance to take part in the provincial football match. Sixthly, those major factors influencing the development of football sports in Yunnan prefecture-level universities include the limited support and fund from the school as well as the ill-equipped facilities.This paper has also offered some advice. Firstly, the vacant site in medium and small size can be fully utilized and developed to expand the football field in terms of quantity and area. The vacant site can be built into the small-cost beach or artificial turf for small-size football field, thus solving the problem of limited facilities. Secondly, those football teachers should be given more chance to enhance their ability. The teaching faculty should be strengthened. Those teachers should be encouraged to spend the summer and winter vacation in receiving the training or studying in the professional football club. They should also lend necessary support in terms of policy and fund. Thirdly, further efforts should be made to involve the social force, ensure the football events on campus as well as improve the organization and guidance. Some football teams in the society should be also invited to the football match in the school. A rational sum of sponsorship fund can be received to supplement the fund and promote the exchange and development of football sports. Fourthly, the school should attach greater significance to the football sports. The football teacher can actively impress on the school management the value of spreading the football sports so as to gain more support and recognition. |
