A Study On The Power Relations Between Husband And Wife Of "double-flow" Farmers

Family as the basic unit of society, is a microcosm of society. In the family, the power relationship between husband and wife has become an important part of family relationships.In the process of urbanization,more and more farmers go out to work.Go out to work not only become a family strategy for farmers to increase household income and improve their life,but also affect the power relationship between husband and wife in their families.This paper took the rural double-flow families as the research object,making in-depth interviews with 16 rural double-flow families in "T village" in the city in L City,Jiangsu Province.This paper described and analyzed the current power relationship between husband and wife in the rural double-flow families mainly from four aspects,such as family division modes,decision-making on family affairs,management of family property,self-identity of wives.In the process of the study,according to the age and the generation.the author made a comparison with the power relationship between husband and wife in the old and new generations of rural double-flow families.Also,this paper discussed the main factors that influence the power relationship between husband and wife in the rural double-flow families.The study found that the power relationship between husband and wife in the rurafdouble-flow family not only retain some traditional parts, but also take lots of changes. In addition,there were both similarities and differences between the power relationship between husband and wife in the old and new generations of rural double-flow families.The main factors that influence the power relationship between husband and wife in the rural double-flow families are the economic income and the degree of education of couples.personal gender conception.the changes of family structure and family relationships,the collision between traditional culture and modern culture,lack of social policy and security.Lastly.this paper revealed affirmative tendency of the relationship between husband and wife in the rural double-flow families by comparing with the power relationship between husband and wife in the rural not-flow families and urban families.Therefore.the author put forward some countermeasures to improve the equality of the power relationship between husband and wife in the rural double-flow families from four aspects,such as promoting new family conception,promoting the socialization of housework,carrying out vocational education and training,establishing labor market regulations.
