In May,2012, Nanjing City Civil Affairs Bureau and Finance Bureau jointly issued documents about establishing a venture philanthropy system characterized by financial investment and using ways and concept of venture philanthropy.This tends to guide and promote social organizations to play a role of positive energy. Since then,the development of social work institutions opened.From cultural perspective to analyse material culture, system culture and spiritual culture of social work institution under different background.Not only can find problems existing in current cultural construction,but also provide guidance to future developmental path and direction.All of these can make social work organization gain a foothold in the competitive environment.This paper conducted a questionnaire investigation for employees of Nanjing social work agencies to understand the basic situation of social work organization.Meanwhile,through interviewing principals and managers of nine social work agencies in Nanjing, the author can explore different types of institutional culture and find the underground. Analyzing the different effects which caused by different cultures institutions can find out the commonness and individuality and find a cultural road which are suitable for social work institutions.All of these can provide support for social work institution construction and development..From this research,there are some problems existing in social work institution construction in Nanjing. First,social work agency employees and managers doubt about the existence of institutional culture. Second,social work institution ignore their culture construction. Third, institutional managers' fuzzy understanding about institutional core values and purpose.Fourth, different employees in the organization have different cultural inclinations.Although there exist so many questions, the overall evaluation of the outside organization to the institution tend to be positive.According to the problem existing in cultural construction of social work institution,the author combined with the actual situation to put forward the following suggestions to promote the cultural construction of social work institution.First,strengthen and attach importance to material culture of social work agency. Second,pay attention to the long-term mechanism construction of social work institutional system culture.Third,guide spiritual and cultural construction of social work institution in core value.
