| The schools of country studied in this paper refer to the schools of national education in the borderline,mainly consist of primary and secondary schools of country and international universities these two categories.Because of special geographical position and educational environment,factually international schools are special social organizations.It not only has the general sense of educational function,but also carries the particular social function.In this regard,international schools of Yunnan province are most typical.In its 8cities,25 frontier counties and 129 towns in the borderline,there are 12 international universities,more than 1000 primary and secondary schools,and nearly 400000 primary students,secondary students and university students.Its education environment mainly has four characteristics,firstly the poverty issue is really extruded,secondly the non-traditional security problems are quite serious,thirdly ethnical culture inheritance and mainstream culture popularization are contradictory,fourthly the ethnic identity and national identity problems cannot be ignored.These problems involve national security,political stability,national unity,cultural integration,economic development and other critical aspects,which put forward special requirements on international schools.Over the years,our country attaches great importance to international school construction;the investments are increasing,and achieved spectacular results.However,owing to the weak foundation,endless problems and huge difficulties,there are many urgent issues need to be solved at present.First of all,a series of negative influences caused by international schools’ special social environment conditions are existed and formed in deep,and it is difficult to eliminate them with simple administrative measures in a short period of time.Secondly,as for educational concept,no matter local residents or related departments,the situation being lagged behind and don’t adapt to existed,it severely restricts the effective implementation of education.In addition,the space for improving the international schools’ educational condition is very large.Focus on the above situation,from the perspective of sociology,based onsociological function theory and ethnic sociology theory,combining with the relevant theory of pedagogy,the author studies the construction and function of international schools in Yunnan province.This paper argues that due to the hysteresis quality of borderline ethnic community economic development,the diversity of ethnic groups and culture and the complexity of the security situation,it formed the completed social relations,if the response is lack,and not handling well,it is inevitably harmful to all over country‘s equilibrium and stability of the social system structure.It is already proved by history and reality.At present,with the implementation of the One Belt and One Road strategy and the increasingly complicated international political conflicts,to solve this problem is far more urgent.Moreover the author holds the view that solving this problem is mainly related to education perspective and non-education perspective.No matter from which perspective,the government plays as the main body of social management,it is necessary to solve problems under its leading and implementing.Especially the non-education perspective,such as economy,politics,security,legal,religion and ethnic affairs,etc.,the related problem solving,they are regulated by governments.Nonetheless,the cause of the problem belongs to the category of ideology and culture,only depends on the general administration is unable to completely solve the problem,it is required long-term and subtle influence on education to make the borderline ethnic community fully acknowledge the mainstream society and integrate in mainstream society,to fundamentally solve the problem,and realize the borderline regions and even the country or the whole society’s stability.By this way,because of its geographical location and its education attributes,international schools may own,exert the function of surpassing the general education institutions,then to maintain and improve our country’s institutions as a part of special social system,which shows its irreplaceable significance and value of sociology.Based on such judgment,this paper puts forward five promoting opinions and suggestions of international schools construction and function exerting.First,carry on adult education to enhance borderline cultural literacy and production skills.Secondly,strengthen borderline non-traditional security consciousness through school educational function.Third,attach schools mission to carry ethnical cultural heritage and the mainstream culturespreading.Fourth,collaboratively carry forward the ethnic identity and national identity of the border ethnical community residents.Fifthly,comprehensively promote international schools management reform. |
