Nowadays,it is the core task of education reform to encourage the construction of school characteristics and build high-level and high-quality schools.At present,there is no lack of theoretical and practical research on the high-quality schools.This study focuses on the choice of high-quality construction path,and explores the feasibility of promoting high quality development with characteristic construction.This study takes Z Primary School as a case study by using the methods of observation,literature analysis and interview.It deeply analyzes the history and current situation of Z Primary School and provides solid evidence for the concept of“Green Education”.This study presents the understanding of students,teachers,middle-level leaders,principals and other members on the connotation of quality schools as well as their common expectations for quality schools which contribute to choosing the path of "promoting high-quality development with characteristic construction".The study describes the relationship between each link and each member of implementation of characteristic construction,thus concludes the reflection on quality development practice.Based on the analysis,the research conclusion is drawn as following:The premise of high quality school construction is to understand its connotation correctly and prevent its misunderstanding;the construction path of high quality school should be selected accurately to avoid detours from the actual situation of the school;the relationship between characteristic construction and high-quality development should be balanced,applying the characteristic into practice not formalism.Finally,the paper suggests three applications: The characteristic construction is an optional path.the characteristic construction is starts from the school reality,and it is one kind of school superiority and the strong point initiative development pattern;Principals should play a key role to improve their personal quality and leadership,especially learn to integrate all the forces in school work and speed up the pace of quality building;The government and administrative departments should support the construction of school characteristics and promote their quality processes.
