| Graduate education in China has achieved great development since 1980, the advent of the era of mass higher education makes more and more students have the opportunity to receive higher levels of higher education. In recent years, the graduate students had been the growing trend, at the same time, the development of graduate education is relatively close to the economic development, the development of economic promotes the development of postgraduate education, on the other hand, the quantity of graduate students are also pushing forward economic development. The speed pace of today’s society makes education also appear dangerous phenomenon, appearing in terms of irreconcilable conflict between quantity and quality. So in the development of graduate students, we should learn other countries’experience,it can greatly contributes to the development of the quality of graduate students in China.At present, compared with other countries, there are urgently needs to solve problems in the stage of graduate student training, With the deepening of the reform of teacher education and development, there presents the following problems at present stage, for example, the single’s target in the graduate cultivation, the less type in graduate students’ curriculum, the lack of diversity in the construction of the tutors, and the same time, students’ scientific research innovation ability is insufficient. It has not really set up diversified graduate cultivation model for social needs, how to construct the scientific and rational pattern of graduate student training becomes our first mission which needs to be settled.This paper mainly divided into five parts, the first part introduces several historical stages of graduate student training in the United States, It’s to understand the process of graduate student training in the United States. The second part introduces the development of Chinese graduate students’ historical stages. The aim is to have a preliminary understanding of the development of Chinese graduate students. The third part is to compare the several factors of graduate student training mode between China and the United States.By analyzing the training objectives, curriculum setting, teacher team, scientific research training five aspects of advantages and disadvantages to find the differences.The fourth part introduces the main reasons of the development between American graduate and China’s graduate in political policy, economic and social, cultural and historical aspects.The fifth part mainly introduces how to develop the China’s graduate students by learning the American graduate students’ experience. These strategies include: establishing a fully reflect the students comprehensive ability of enrollment system; establishing to meet the social and individual demand of multi-level training target system; establishing to meet students various specialty and course system development needs; establishing continued ascension teacher guiding ability and responsibility consciousness of teachers’ selection system; paying attention to the training the graduate student’s scientific research and innovation consciousness and practice ability of scientific research. |
