In recent years,school characteristic brand establishment has gradually become a topic of social concern,and school culture construction has become a hot topic in education,an extension and indispensable supplement of classroom teaching and an important component of teaching activities.With the continuous development of curriculum reform,elementary and secondary schools across the country are paying increasing attention to the development of school culture construction.For the sake of development,in addition to adhering to teaching-centered principle,schools should improve the school-running quality and strive to highlight the characteristics in connotative development.A number of practices told us that school culture construction tends to be one of the important approaches to build school special features.It goes without saying that the influence of culture on a school is both profound and powerful.School culture is the soul of a school,which can determine a kind of value system recognized by all members in the school.Guided by the value system,the school work can proceed in an all-round way,and the school personnel can be motivated to make concerted efforts and move towards the goal of cultural development.It's clear that the school culture will not only affect the growth and development of all the teachers and students in the school,but also become the key to a healthy and positive life of the teachers and students in a school full of culture edifications.If a school has no positive,upward cultural atmosphere of advocating education,no matter how competent its leaders are,how powerful its hardware and facilities are,or how qualified its teaching body is,the school is unlikely to own strong vitality.School culture in elementary and secondary schools is in fact an embodiment of humanity and environment,and the ideologies,value orientation and humanistic quality of teachers and students are highlighted by culture.As the core idea of school construction,characteristic culture is related to the development of a school,it occupies a crucial position in school development,and it is the long-term accumulation of school culture as well as the most remarkable culture.In this paper,based on the studies of school culture in academic circles,through the research on cultural theory characterized by goodness as well as the analysis of importance and feasibility of goodness cultural construction,it's indicated that culture characterized by goodness exerts a significant role in school culture construction,and efforts were made to study and explore the value and efficiency of the characteristic culture based on the practice of school culture construction characterized by goodness;the deficiencies in construction of characteristic culture were discovered by analysis,and relevant suggestions were put forward.The case study of culture characterized by goodness took Zhaoqing Experimental Middle School as an example,the on-the-spot investigation and research were carried out on the goodness cultural construction in the school by means of field interviews and questionnaires,and the five goodness-oriented school cultural connotations of "develop goodness thoughts,conduct goodness management,create goodness environment,cultivate goodness spirit,implement goodness behaviors" were summed up;through verification of the construction effects of the five connotations,it's concluded that culture characterized by goodness exerts a significant effect on the school's guiding ideology,system culture,material culture,spiritual culture and behavior culture.Although the school has problems in the school-based cultural curriculum construction and cultural scientific research,a leavening effect was produced among teachers and students in guiding thought of advocating goodness,improving life quality,cultivating moral sentiments and enhancing moral integrity.Thus it can be seen that the case study of Zhaoqing Experimental Middle School has provided a favorable reference for this research.
