Simply speaking, the history of physics is the development of the subject of physics. It includes a huge treasure of resources that describe human-beings' understanding of the physical phenomena of our daily life. It contains the experience of discovery and twisting development of physical concepts and rules; it also contains physicists' research methodologies and the scientific spirits of devotion. By studying the history of physics, people can fully understand the transference of it as an independent discipline. As the gradual recognition of the history of physics, people begin to pay more and more attention to its pedagogical functions. Nowadays, how to assimilate the history of physics into the high school physics teaching has become one of the hottest topics in the physics curriculum reform.Due to the important pedagogical function of the history of physics, the author becomes interested in its relevant study. However, during my internship as a teacher, I found there are some insufficiencies in the teaching of physics and the curriculum development. I intended to do an in-depth study about the history of physics in middle school teaching practice. First of all, I investigated the current status of awareness of teachers and students to the history of physics. After the investigation, I found the following things:Firstly, Integrating the history of science to the physics teaching is not enough. Although it has certain recognizable educational functions, but somewhat lacking in classroom practices. Secondly, the history of physics curriculum development is in deficiency. Teachers and students have reacted specifically to the lack of a history of physics especially for the middle schools. They have difficulty in acquiring knowledge. Thirdly, How to make the history of physics to achieve more efficient use in high schools' physics teaching.To solve these problems, the author started to take corrective measures. The curriculum development is not enough. So I decided to prepare a set of physics history database which is specifically for high school students and teachers. When the database is completed, the author conducted two experiments to explore the effects of function on teachers and students. For the use of history is not enough in physics classes. The author also adopted the methods and principles when integrating the history of science into the physics teaching. Under this condition, the author started the third experiment. The experiment is about two different types of classes. One is with physics history, namely, the experimental way; the other is with a traditional way. After class, we had a survey about students' knowledge and emotion.The research shows that the history of physics can improve the interest of learning physics. Both the history database compiled by the author applies to the lesson at a secondary level. It can improve new teachers' professional quality and efficiency of lesson preparation. And to students, it can enrich their knowledge.In short, the history of physics has a greater role in high school physics teaching. People should pay more attention to its implementation. Teachers and students should first change the concept of getting rid of the shackles of the examination-oriented education. The teaching methods and principles set in the paper hoping to cite as a reference. This history database aims at middle schools. It has rich meaning and it's easy to understand. Due to the limited time and experience, the author only selected the motion of the planet. But the article also mentioned the methods and principles which expose how to establish the database for readers to further their improvements. The author believes there will be more and more people to gain benefits from it. The author also believes that physical knowledge will be no longer difficult for middle school students.
