With the country's emphasis on vocational education,offer the opportunities for our secondary vocational education,but at the same time,the number of graduates from middle school are reducing gradually,and people have prejudice against secondary vocational school,on the other hand the entrance threshold of secondary vocational school becomes lower and lower,these lead to the low quality of students,so the secondary vocational school will face many questions,and one of the most important is lacking in self-management skills during their school time and even in their lifetime.And this thesis is based on these background.This research put forwards on one of the secondary vocational schools in Dalian city,this thesis investigated 500students and 40 teachers of this school,and talked with 15 headteachers and 30 parents,and tried to know the problems and reasons on student's self-management skills in study.By analysis and comparison,the author will give some strategies.By the investigation and analysis,the author found the problems below:1.Students have no clear learning objectives,and can't achieve the targets;2.Students have bad learning habits,can't manage themselves in learning process;3.Students can't use time properly,and have no learning efficiency;4.Internet become students' interfering factors;5.Students are lack of the abilities of learning feedback,they can't get good results in learning.From the problems and the interviews with headteachers and parents,we can get the reasons why students lack of self-management skills in learning.The reasons are as follows:1.Because of the test-oriented education,schools and parents ignored self-management skills;2.Students got into the school passively because of people'prejudice of secondary vocational school;3.Chinese traditional educational system is not good for students forming self-management skill;4.Because school can't provide rich and colorful learning environment,students can't make good use of learning resources;5.Students' family education are inappropriate,so they are lack of self-management abilities.Depend on the analysis for the reasons,the author proved some strategies:1.Schools must emphasize the self-management skills of students;2.Schools,teachers and parents should respect students' subject characters,if they want to change the passive state;3.From changing traditional education system,we should promote students' initiative on self-management abilities;4.We should recreated a good learning environment to make good use of learning resources;5.Parents should change their concepts to pay attention to self-management skills of students.
