| With the increase of professional and practical talents in Higher Education,the Master’s degree of higher education has emerged.The cultivation of Master’s degree in Higher Pedagogy has gradually become the focus of higher education.The graduate school of education of Xiamen University in China has recruit the first graduate students majored in higher education since 1981.It has made many achievements in higher education domestic under the leadership of Professor Pan Maoyuan who found the specialty of higher pedagogy.But compared to the United States,the development process of China is shorter and possess less experience.There have some problems such as single-goal training,curriculum materials curing,lacking practice foundation inside and outside of the school,teaching practice weak and imperfection of training mechanisms.However,the United States is the first country to set up postgraduate in Higher Education.It has cultivated a large number of professional talents for higher education departments and teaching posts.It has improved the quality of personnel training and formed a more systematic training process.Therefore,it is of great value to provide theoretical references for the cultivation of Master’s degree programs in higher education in the United States.This paper emphasis the focus on the cultivation of postgraduates of American Higher Education by means of literature research,comparative research and case study.First of all,exploring its development motivation from the perspective of history;Secondly,exploring it from the perspective of higher education graduate education methods.This paper selects two institutions of higher education majors form Harvard University and UCLA to write comparative analysis,from their diverse training objects,flexible enrollment requirements,professional curriculum,characteristics of teaching and practice and comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the paper in five dimensions.To explore its master of higher education through the multi-joint training process to improve the quality of personnel training and its market competitiveness in the post-graduate employment in the fundamental,and the United States of America Higher Education Master’s professional characteristic.Through the research of this paper,the author summarizes the useful experiences of the postgraduate education of higher education in the United States.Reconsider the practical problems in the course of its development and put forward the enlightenment of the cultivation of American higher education Master’s degree. |
