Cultivating "the key competencies" of the students is one of the important concepts of deepening the reform of the basic education curriculum in our country,and it is also the key link to deepen the development of basic education.Physics is a natural science based on experiment.It is an important contents in the teaching of physics.The core quality of physics in senior high school includes four aspects,namely physical concept,scientific thinking,experimental inquiry,scientific attitude and responsibility.Therefore,as the main teaching activities in the process of physics teaching,"experimental inquiry" has become an important way to implement the key competencies of physics.After years of new curriculum reform,what's the situation of the students' ability to explore the physical experiment?Is the students' ability meet the requirements of the curriculum standards?In order to investigate the actual situation of the high school students'physics experiment inquiry ability,this study has done the following work.Firstly,according to the curriculum standards and the research results of many scholars,the paper explores the elements of inquiry ability in high school physics experiment,namely the ability to ask questions and hypotheses,the ability to design experiments and experiments,the ability to process data and analyze data,the ability to communicate and cooperate.According to the research results of scholars and teachers' interview,the basic elements of each physics experiment exploring ability is divided into five levels,covering the different performance of different levels of students' ability in each element.Secondly,based on four experimental inquiry ability elements and five corresponding level,we set the corresponding index weights,and establish the calculation model of evaluation system.Thirdly,in order to test the validity of the measurement evaluation system,we designed a worksheet.Through the questionnaire survey of physics experiment inquiry ability of high school students,we found that,the overall physical experiment inquiry ability of high school students in the three schools is at the level of third.Among them,the ability to propose questions and conjecture,the ability of experiment design and implementation,data processing and analysis are at the third level,and the ability of communication and cooperation is at the level of fourth.Among the four experimental inquiry ability elements,the ability of experimental design and implementation is the weakest,and the ability of communication and cooperation is the strongest.The research design self-assessment scale can measure students' physical experiment inquiry ability to a certain extent.
