Career adaptability refers to individuals' abilities to keep balance with the changes of career roles,and is viewed as a key ability for one's career success in the rapidly changing modern society.It has become a new theoretic growing point in the foreign field of career psychology in recent years.First of all,based on the related summary of the home and aboard studies on career adaptability,this study reviews the studies of the origins,conceptual connotation,theoretical connotation and empirical studies of career adaptability so that its abundant theoretical connotation and practical value can be realized and understood;and then aimed at the existing problems of the current studies of career adaptability,based on the status of contemporary college students' career development as well as the new progress of career psychology research,the study has conducted a quite comprehensive and systematic exploration research with the college students' career adaptability,which using the different research orientations such as trait research,correlation research and experimental research and many kinds of research method.More precisely,first,based on the past viewpoint of the theoretical construction of career adaptability,I use the Houzhijin's questionnaire to examine the developmental level and characteristics of college students' career adaptability,so as to understand the adaptability of Chinese college students' career stress,and then use the questionnaire to study the adaptability of Chinese college students' career adaptability.Then,we introduce another research hotpots in career psychology,that is,perceived barriers,to discuss the influence factors influencing the adaptability of college students' career and the relationship between perceived barriers and career adaptability.In summary,the ultimate goal of this study is to expect the above research to promote the psychological psychology of college students in China,and to provide some useful inspiration for the cultivation of college students' career adaptability.This study is divided into five parts.The research on the development of college students 'career adaptability,the related factors and the different factors on the adaptability of college students' career are studied.To synthesize these studies,the following main conclusions were obtained:1?There are seven dimensions of the perceived barrier,including background differential treatment,marriage and family constraints,parental behavioral obstruction,lack of school education,lack of information exploration,lack of skills andpersonality defects;Chinese college students' career adaptability is a multi-dimensional hierarchical system,consisting of career concern,career control,career curiosity,career confidence,career adjustment and career interpersonal six factors;According to the construct,we draw up a higher reliability and validity scale of college students' career adaptability which can be used to appraise college students' career adaptability.2?Currently,the developmental level of Chinese college students' career adaptability is little higher than the middle level,but still not optimistic.While,there are significant differences among students' grade,family background,school background and the quantity of social practice.More precisely,at grade,the college students' career adaptability could change along their grades that dropping along with the grade ascension and at the third year recovered a little,but at the fourth year dropped again.At the family background,there is no significant difference between college students from city and college students from country.At the school background,at major,overall,students majored in liberal arts get significant higher scores on career adaptability than the students majored in arts and science and engineering.At the quantity of social practice,the students who participated in more social practice,their career adaptability developed better.3?There is significant negative correlation between college students' career adaptability and perception of career barriers;after canonical correlation analysis,the study finds that career adaptability may be one reason of the affections of perception of career barriers,and also finds that the students who perceived more career barriers,their career adaptability would develop worse.This indicates that college students' perception of career barriers could restrict their development of career adaptability.Moreover,this study also has investigated college students' perception of career barriers.The results show that: generally speaking,the scores of most college students' perception of career barriers are not too high,but at the source of career barriers,they regard the insufficiency of school education as the most important factor that restricted their career development and while there are significant differences among their sex,grade,school type and major except the socioeconomic status and regions on perception of career barriers.Through the research results and conclusions of these research results,this study puts forward that in the future work of college students ' adaptability training and college students' employment counseling work,the college students should improvetheir own initiative and parents should make corresponding cooperation.More importantly,the corresponding career counseling work during the university training can strengthen the overall education for the ubiquitous problems and counsel each individual problem,so as to better promote the employment of college students and social harmony and stability.
