Intervention In College Students With Low Career Adaptability:Using Career Construction Counseling

The study aims to explore the effect of career construction counseling on the the adaptation of college students with low career adaptability,to reveal the mechanism of career construction counseling to career construction process,to establish a career construction model of college students with low career adaptability.In this study,38 students with low career adaptability in education college of a certain ‘211' university were selected.The experimental group(n = 19)were accept career construction consulting,and the control group(n = 19)had no intervention.The two groups of subjects were evaluated before and after the intervention by the ‘Career Adapt-Abilities Scale-China Form'(CAAS-CF).The author used the method of interview and career construction counseling to collect the original data of the experimental group.The author used the grounded theory to analyze the transcribed data,construct the career construction model of the college students with low career adaptability.The results show that :(1)Before and after the career construction consulting,the experimental group subjects' score in CAAS-CF was significantly different.Career construction counseling has a positive impact on the career adaptability of experimental group subjects.Both before and after counseling,the impact of demographic variables on career adaptability is not significant.(2)Before and after the career construction consultation,there is a significant difference in the career construction model of the students with low career adaptability,which shows that career construction counseling has a positive effect on the process of career construction of college students with low career adaptability.Career construction process is dynamic developed,which is an internal control mechanism,effected by environmental factors(intervention).(3)The career construction consultation of this paper is mainly based on the systematic ‘my life story',the validity of the above career construction consultation can verify the validity of the ‘my life story'.
