| With the accelerated globalization of the Chinese language,it has been involved in the fundamental education system of many countries.Thus,the learners of Chinese language are aged with great differences,among which teenagers are the main part in large groups.With special physical and psychological features as well as study characteristics,the young Chinese learners is more peculiar and complex,so there is increasing demands for the professional Chinese teaching material for young learners.As the Chinese teaching has gained rapid development in Thailand and Malaysia,some achievements have been made in the compilation and utilization of native Chinese teaching materials.Among those textbooks,Malay-medium National Schools Chinese language and Happy Learning Chinese are the two native textbooks widely used in Malaysia and Thailand,so the research on these two set of textbooks will be beneficial to the improvement of the native textbook.The topics in the textbooks are divided into two types:sentence-based topics and discourse-based topics.Besides,since both Malay-medium National Schools Chinese language and Happy Learning Chinese are native textbooks,their selection of topics and Chinese lexicons as well as the treatments of Chinese cultural elements will offer certain references to the writing of the textbook.The thesis mainly conducts analysis and comparison of those two textbooks,and researches the selection of topics and lexicons in the textbooks.Through the Comparison of the topics in the two textbooks,the author figures out their different choices,in the hope of providing references to the compilation of the native textbook.The whole thesis consists of five chapters as follows:Chapter one is an introduction.It mainly introduces the background and significance of the research,and the research methods as well as the creative points of the research.Besides,it also reviews the former researches on the general textbooks and native textbooks for young Chinese learners,and the detailed topics in the textbooks.Chapter two conducts detailed researches on the topics in the Malaysian native textbook---Malay-medium National Schools Chinese language.According to a certain logical sequence of illustration in the first and conclusion at last,it collects data and makes classifications towards the topics in the textbook,and clears up the lexicons related with the topics,so as to analyze the selection and arrangement of topics and lexicons.Chapter three conducts researches on the topics in the Thai’s native textbook---Happy to Learn Chinese.It mainly classifies the topics in the 12 textbooks of Happy Learning Chinese and draw conclusions on the related lexicons,so as to analyze the selection and arrangement of the topics in this set of textbooks.Chapter four researches the similarities and differences of the topics in the two set of textbooks,mainly through the comparison and analysis on the selection and arrangement of the topics,its core lexicons,and its different treatments.Chapter five,in terms of the research results and the comparison of the two kinds of textbooks in the former four chapters,makes general proposals in the selection and arrangement of the topics in the native textbooks. |
