In recent years,as the core content of statistics,data analysis has become gradually prominent in the compulsory education mathematics curriculum.At the same time,with the six core mathematical literacy proposed,the ability of data analysis has attracted much attention and become a hot issue in the research of the mathematics education.However,by consulting the literature in recent years and the author's test about the present situation of the junior middle school students' data analysis ability,we find that their data analysis ability is generally weak.However,few studies have been carried out on the reasons of weakness.Therefore,it's worth studying the weak reasons and strategies of junior middle school students' data analysis.At first,this dissertation illustrates the background of the problem,the summary of the predecessors' research,the main problems,the meaning and the method of the research;Secondly,the theoretical research on the definition,structure and standard of the data analysis ability is carried out.Thirdly,the author analyzes the present situation of junior middle school students' data analysis ability.In connection with the weak situation,this dissertation investigates the reason why the data analysis ability of junior high school students is weak by investigating students and interview teachers.Finally,in view of the weak reasons,this dissertation puts forward the suggestions and concrete cases to improve the data analysis ability of junior high school students.This dissertation conducted a survey on 320 junior high school students in Ji'nan,Zibo and Rizhao by test and questionnaires.At the same time,interviews with 15 teachers in these three regions were carried out.By the survey,the dissertation find out the main reasons for the low ability of junior high school students' data analysis:teachers and students do not attach importance to practicing the basic knowledge and the basic method of data analysis;teachers have low requirements for the basic knowledge of data analysis;students do not understand and grasp the basic knowledge of data analysis;besides,especially the application of data analysis is not enough;teaching and guidance of basic data analysis method for teachers is not enough and mastering the basic data analysis method for students is not enough;explanation of basic method on data analysis for teachers is not thorough;teachers handle improperly the results of learning data analysis.In view of the above weak reasons,this dissertation puts forward the teaching suggestions to improve the data analysis ability of junior high school students:first,the author puts forward the basic requirements for improving the capability of data analysis in junior high school students: paying much attention to cultivating the ability of data analysis;paying attention to teaching the basic knowledge of data analysis;focusing on learning the basic method of data analysis;appropriate arrangements for data analysis part of the practice;paying attention to dealing with student data analysis learning results.Secondly,the author puts forward the class requirements for improving the data analysis ability of junior high school students in three parts: pre-class,class and after-school.Suggestions to data analysis before class: teachers prepare lessons in depth to dig the basic method of data analysis;before class the teacher should carefully arrange and select the data analysis exercises.Suggestions to data analysis class: teachers should strengthen the teaching of basic knowledge of data analysis;teachers should thoroughly explain the basic methods of data analysis and encourage students to think about a variety of methods;teachers should pay attention to checking the result of data analysis in classroom;the teacher should play a leading role in the misinterpretation of data analysis;teachers should raise students' frequency of summing up data analysis and dig out a variety of ways to summarize the data analysis.Suggestions to data analysis after school: students should selectively increase practice after school;teachers should pay attention to checking the result of homework about data analysis;teachers should evaluate the results of data analysis in time.Finally,combined with the above teaching suggestions,the author gives the junior high school students teaching case of data analysis.
