| With the popularity of calisthenics across the country,many studies have been done in primary and secondary schools.However,some relevant literature in CNKI shows that it is not that good in some primary and secondary schools.In recent two years,as people’s perception of sports content diversity and related measures implemented by ministry of education,people have realized that the calisthenics plays an irreplaceable role in the development of students’ bodies and mind.It is unknown that whether students have calisthenics in classes.This study includes 800 students and 80 P.E.teachers in junior middle schools in Xi’an with the method of questionnaires and interviews.Major findings are as follows.Firstly,62.5%of junior middle schools have aerobics classes in good condition.But full-time teachers and facilities are insufficient,which affected the quality of teaching slightly.Secondly,the objects of aerobics teaching are mainly the first year students,and it is enough for junior middle school students.Thirdly,70.34%of the students think it is necessary to carry out aerobics in the school,but extracurricular sports activities can’t satisfy the needs of students.Fourthly,there is no unified teaching materials,so teachers mainly use the routine movement as the main content of teaching.And the organization,methods and evaluation of teachings are traditional and lack of innovation,ignoring students as a main body.Last but not least,most physical education teachers in these schools have bachelor degrees,and they are young so they need training in aerobics teaching.Aiming at the above problems,some suggestions are put forward.Firstly,the department in charge of education should pay attention to the cultivation of teachers in aerobics,that is to say,to create opportunities for teachers to attend aerobics training regularly.Secondly,sports resources should be increased and the equipment should be improved,which can meet the needs of teaching activities.Thirdly,schools should institutionalize aerobics teaching activities and improve the cultural atmosphere of campus aerobics.Fourthly,formulate classroom teaching,and improve teachers’ own professional quality.Fifthly,explore teaching patterns to construct a whole evaluate system.Last but not least,the relevant departments or schools of Shaanxi Province should organize professional aerobics teachers to compile textbooks of different levels and stages based on local actual situation. |
