Portfolio assessment was born in the reform of western education evaluation.With the Teaching Guideline for Preschool Education (for Trial Implementation) issued,the portfolio assessment was introduced and accepted as a new kind of evaluational method.This research is a qualitative research,which collected materials by means of conversation,observing and analysis of practicality,and investigated the implementation of portfolio assessment in the S kindgarden.The research contains the teachers’ understanding,the process of implementation and then analysis some factors that influence the portfolio assessment.Besides,and then summarized some features:On the conceptual level,take record seriously and overlook assessment ; on the implement level,take build seriously and overlook reflection ; on the text content,take authenticity seriously and overlook overall;on the text effect,take external seriously and overlook text context.The high demand and the low supportmnet is the main reason that caused S kindergarten faced challenges.Programmatic document,the portfolio assessment and the Education Supervisor put forward high demand on the task.However,there are some negative factors that limited the task. Such as the management system,the limited time and energy, the teachers’training and the professional qualities.Some suggestions given from different perspectives are based on the analysis of current situation. First of all,as the manager, should be ensure enough time and energy for the teacher.And targeted training should be providedt.And he kindergarten should build a serious of management system.Besides,the platform for communication shoud be build. Secondly,as the teacher,should realise the value of portfolio assessment.Thirdly,as the children and parents,should raise the level of participation with the instruction of the teacher.Fourthly,as the administrative departments of education ,should offer training opportunities and reduce the stress properly,which can ensure the enough time and energy for kindgardens.
