The development of education is inseparable from the supply of excellent teachers, teachers are considered the most important determinant of the quality of school education. And the teacher's salary level is an important factor affecting the health of teachers, affecting the well-being of teachers, but also an important manifestation of their socio-economic status.This study chooses the salary of primary and secondary school teachers in China and the United States as the object of comparison,starting from the development and change of the absolute salary of teachers and students in China and the United States,and the change of the price consumption index between China and the United States,reflecting the change of the actual salary of primary and secondary school teachers The From the horizontal level, the paper describes the regional differences between the primary and secondary school teachers in China and the United States, and compares the teachers' salaries and other industry salaries in China and the United States. The relative level of teachers 'salaries is low, leading to the effect of teachers'wage level on the supply of primary and secondary school teachers in China and the United States.The main body of the paper includes three parts.The first part is the analysis of the salary level of public primary and secondary school teachers in our country, including the analysis of the absolute level and the relative level of teachers' salaries in China since the 1990s. From the absolute level of view, China's primary and secondary school teachers, the rapid growth of wages, 20 years or so time increased by several times. There is a clear gap between the region,East and West teachers, high wages, low wages in the central region, the phenomenon of depression. From the relative level, after the price level after adjustment of primary and secondary school teachers,the actual wage growth rate is not large,in the national economic industry rankings are also leaning in the middle position, compared with the same education industry wages, teachers wages in the Lower level. Teachers income index is also lower, lower than the reasonable level of teacher salaries.The second part is the analysis of the salary level of public primary and secondary school teachers in the United States. Judging from the absolute level of public primary and secondary school teachers, the wages of American public primary and secondary school teachers have been increasing since the 1980s. The salary gap of public primary and secondary school teachers in different areas is higher than that in the developed areas. Judging from the relative level of public primary and secondary school teachers in the United States, the actual average wage of public school teachers in the past 30 years has only increased in the 1980s and has been declining since the 1990s. During the decade from 2005 to 2015, the actual wage of public primary and secondary school teachers in various regions was not as high as that of absolute wages,and even negative growth in some areas. The United States public primary and secondary school teachers wages and education comparable to the wages of the industry, primary and secondary school teachers pay the penultimate,professional competitiveness is relatively weak.The third part makes a comparative analysis of the salary level of public primary and secondary school teachers in China and the United States. The level of teachers'wages affects the supply of primary and secondary school teachers in China and the United States, including the attractiveness of talents, the stability of teachers and the structure of teachers influences. Therefore, China and the United States to effectively improve the wages of primary and secondary school teachers to protect the treatment of teachers to attract talent to enter the ranks of teachers.
