School-based curriculum, as a component of the national curriculum, is the effective supplement to the national curriculum. School-based curriculum is a kind of curriculum that is developed, applied and evaluated on the basis of the students and teachers in a certain school and the specific teaching goals in this school. It aims to efficiently meet students' real needs and includes a series of environmental analyses of the curriculum development, the setup of the curriculum goals, the selection of the curriculum contents, the implementation of the curriculum contents, and the related evaluations.Biology is a kind of science that studies life phenomena and living rules, and it requires students to apply what they have experienced in daily life and what they have learn in class into real life. However, children live in cities are confined in the limited architectures, and lack the attentions, skills and energies to observe their living natural environment. Therefore, based on the school-based curriculum and the theories on natural journals, this paper mainly studies how to develop the school-based curriculum of Biology on natural journals and aims to help students independently observe and explore nature, to consolidate students' connection between Biology and the real life, and to improve students' comprehensive abilities. After analysis, this paper finds that the school-based curriculum of Biology on nature can fulfill the curriculum goals, and that students can significantly improve their application of their biological knowledge, improve their attention to nature and their interests in learning Biology. Meanwhile some problems are also exposed in this paper. It finds that students' heavy studying loads exert an influence on the implementation of the curriculum and that the limitation of the teachers' own professional knowledge refrains the depth and width of the curriculum. Thus, further studies on the implementation of the school-based curriculum should take these problems into consideration.
