A well-established incentive mechanism for teachers and the effective implementation of it boast great significance in improving the quality of teaching staff and its own education among private universities.Compared to public universities, private universities focus on serving the purpose of education, attracting and retaining talented people. So the incentive system there has more advantages in making flexible choices. At the same time, the unstability of funds and policy supports,a relatively low recognition from the whole society as well as its immature development are standing out in its way.According to the Equity Theory raised by Adams, the problem of unbalance between private universities and public ones are emerging right now. When it comes to S University, incentive mechanism for teachers has witnessed periodic changes along with its own growth.Based on the Theory of Needs raised by Abraham Maslow,a complete questionnaire is made and surveys as well as interviews are done throughout this process.Targeted problems are found out in time blocks of realizing the incentive, supportability for staff, ways of serving people and channels to realize its value.By optimizing evaluation and paying system, improving social security, offering more training opportunities and chances for further education, creating more channels for democracy, completing cultural environment and raising value-guidance,the overall incentive mechanism will be recognized.
