Junior kindergarten is the beginning of children's collective life,and also the best period to cultivate children's good eating habits.The kindergarten routine is one of children's important learning tasks,which ensures their smooth daily activities.Regular eating,an essential part of children's daily schedule,helps children form a regular diet habit and a strong body,laying a foundation for children's all-round development.Therefore,this article aims to explore the situation of children's eating routine along with its reasons so as to work out a more reasonable infant eating routine.This author selects 12 teachers and 143 infants from four small classes in a kindergarten of Xi'an as the research objects.Both children and teachers' behaviors in their eating process are observed and recorded,after which,interviews to teacher will be carried out.This article mainly studies three aspects of children's eating routine:the details,the implementation process and its effects.Based on the quantitative statistics and analysis of the collected data,here come the results of the research:Firstly,as far as the details of children's eating routine is concerned,teachers'responsibilities are clearly separated,time for activities is reasonable,eating rules are comparatively comprehensive,but "careful chew and slow swallow is not mentioned.Secondly,as the implementation of children's regular eating is considered,different teachers have different but harmonious ideas and ways.Detailed contents are as follows:"eating without noise","appropriate eating manners","being not picky on food","no leftovers," and "appropriate eating speed",among which,the last point is given priority,while least attention on leftover matter.What's more,various attitudes are taken towards each point with different implementation flexibility.Teachers' attitudes are generally positive,but the guiding method is not flexible.As for implementation effects,children in junior kindergarten generally behave well.They perform differently in the face of specific requirements of different meals,However,in order to meet teachers' expectations,children have some bad eating behaviors.According to the research results above,the author put forward some suggestions based on the existing problems in the formulation and implementation of eating routine in junior kindergarten.First of all,the kindergarten should strictly develop suitable eating routine for children in junior kindergarten in terms of the characteristics of children's development;Secondly,in the implementation process of eating routine,teachers are supposed to take scientific and effective strategies to ensure the eating routine serves children's development.
