The eighth curriculum reform of basic education has put emphasis on the extensive application of learning method taking “independent learning” as the main symbol.“Five steps teaching method of learning plan guidance” is an effective method,which guides the students to make independent learning.Five steps teaching method of learning plan guidance consists of five parts,including independent learning,cooperative research,classroom display,precise explanation and class test.First step: independent learning mainly adopts guided learning plan to cultivate the reading comprehension of students and independent learning ability of material analysis.Second step: cooperative research,guide the students to solve the problems appeared in study together through coordination and cultivate the cooperation ability for students.Third step: classroom display,return the classroom to students and let the students become the subject of teaching.Cultivate the logical thinking ability and language expression ability of students.Fourth step: precise explanation,the teacher will become the fulcrum for students to move the knowledge world.Explain learning methods and rules to students and equip the students with ability of drawing inferences.Fifth step: class test,the result of this step is the final process to test the effect of five step teaching application.The test process is also the process for students to improve themselves and is the stage for cultivating their reflection ability.The teaching mode of five step teaching method is in line with our cultivation target for the education of biology and is also good for cultivating the independent ability of analyzing problem and solving problem etc.Elaborate the teaching mode of “five step teaching method” by combining psychology and education together,using theory to guide practice and taking improving the independent learning ability of the educated as principle and this is the purpose of this paper.The introduction of “five step teaching method” can initiate the reflection of more educators for how to use suitable learning method to cultivate and improve theindependent learning ability of students in biology and how to make evaluation for the independent learning ability of students.
