In accordance with the teaching practice in Senior High School Chemistry teaching, thisarticle built a five-step teaching method particularly suitable for the Senior High SchoolChemistry teaching based on relevant teaching theories.“Five-step teaching method" was a teaching model that implemented in the Chemistryclassroom teaching, which took guided learning plan as a carrier. It broke the conventionalteaching method which only used teaching plan in their daily classroom teaching. Themeaning of it was that “the creation of the teaching environment and clarification of theteaching goals, autonomous learning and individualized instruction, clear-up doubtscooperation and mutual-aid discussion, meticulous enlightening and inspiring guidance,consolidate training and reorganization improvement”. The five-step teaching method is notonly a teaching method that implemented the new curriculum idea, but also a teaching methodthat reformed and optimized the traditional classroom teaching model. Students’ knowledgewas no longer just acquired from the teacher’s signally teaching, but individually constructedthe knowledge through autonomous learning and cooperative exploration teaching step.The five-step teaching method was a true realization of the role-exchange of teachersfrom "teaching" to "guiding" and as well as of the students from knowing "learning" to” howto learn". It Not only helped the students to develop their self-learning ability and self-studyhabits, but also was conducive to the realization of students’ self-development and self-worth.Furthermore, it fully reflected combination of the main role of the teachers and the leadingrole of the students. It made it possible that the leading role and the main role connected witheach other harmoniously in order to achieve effective teaching. Feeling relaxed, the teachersgave a free hand to the students and let them truly become the masters of classroom learning.The students would certainly become the master of the examination spot when took part in theCollege Entrance Examination. What’s more? Whey would surely become the designers oftheir own life.
