Reading is an important skill in the process of acquisition of Chinese which individual must grasp,but also influenced by different factors.In recent years,ADHD children get more and more attention,related research shows that ADHD children's reading problem.In order to study the factors that influence the ADHD children's reading ability,scholars have conducted a series of studies on the factors.In phonetic system,western scholars have conducted a series of related studies on the reading ability of ADHD children,because of different research method and different research object,the research results have not get consistent conclusion.Some researchers think that phonological processing is a major cause of the reading problems,while some researchers think ADHD children's executive function deficiency lead to the reading problem.Chinese as a non phonetic system,morpheme awareness is the key factor to predict the reading ability.In this case,whether the deficiency of ADHD children's morphological awareness exist?Whether the relationships of morphological awareness and reading ability exist?Whether the morpheme is a key variable to predict reading comprehension?In order to study the above problems,this study through a series of verbal and nonverbal cognitive test,such as:morpheme awareness,vocabulary comprehension,attention,inhibition,working memory to examine one to the third grade children of Xi'an children hospital and a primary school.The literacy amount as the selection standard,the subjects were divided into four groups:the normal group,the dyslexic group(RD),the group of children with ADHD(ADHD),the group of comorbidity(ADHD+RD)(the first and second subjects from one to the third grade children for a primary school in Xi an,the third and forth subjects from one to the third grade children who have been diagnosed with ADHD for the Xi,an Children's hospital).Complications including three studies:the first study main to discuss the difference of Chinese morpheme awareness of ADHD children,normal children,dyslexia children and the children with comorbidity.The results showed that the children of ADHD group overall morphological awareness behind the normal group,the difference was significant,the difference with dyslexic group had no significant difference,the morphological awareness of children of comorbidity is the worst,and has significant difference with all other children of group;in the morpheme,homophone and homograph discrimination,morpheme construction test,the children of ADHD group behind the normal group,the difference was significant,the difference with dyslexic group had no significant difference,the children of comorbidity is worst in four tests,and has significant difference with all other children of group.The second study was to discuss the relationship between Chinese morpheme awareness which include four sub-test and reading comprehension of four groups.The results showed that morpheme awareness is the significant variables affecting reading comprehension scores of four groups of children,in the four sub-test,homophone discrimination is a significant variable in four groups children's reading comprehension scores.The third study in order to investigate ADHD children's morphological awareness,the relationship between general cognitive ability and reading comprehension,the result showed that there is a significant correlation between vocabulary comprehension,morphological awareness and reading comprehension,but the correlation of morpheme awareness and reading comprehension is maximum.Morpheme awareness is the key prediction ADHD children' reading comprehension.From the first,second and third study,we can draw the following conclusion:in Chinese reading,the defect morpheme awareness of ADHD children has some defects and the deficiency of morpheme awareness is common in ADHD and RD children;morpheme awareness is the significant variables of four groups of children reading comprehension scores,homophone morpheme discrimination is the significant variables influence in the reading comprehension;Chinese morpheme awareness is the key prediction of the reading comprehension of ADHD children.This study proves that the ADHD children have difficulties in morpheme awareness and have significant relation between morpheme awareness and reading comprehension.
