Activity in art area is a kind of common regional activity in kindergartens and material delivery affects children's creation in art area.This research mainly discusses the relationship between the delivery of low-structural material and the creation of children.By delivering low-structural material in art area and observing the creation of the children in the bottom class of kindergartens,the performance of the children during the creation in art area is analyzed and the suggestions for the delivery of low-structural material in the area for the children,put forward.This research takes 60 children from a bottom class of H kindergarten in Shanghai as research objects.Experiment,case study and interview are used to examine the relationship between the delivery of low-structural material and the creation of the children in the bottom class from four aspects,i.e.the curiosity level,discovery level,game-playing level and creativity level of children.In the experiment,material delivery is treated as independent variable while the creation of children,dependable variable.Low-structural material is selected to conduct the experiment whose participants are 60 children of the bottom class of H kindergarten.The experimental data is processed and analyzed by using SPSS 19.0 to explore the effect of the delivery of low-structural material on children's creation.Case study is mainly adopted by teachers to observe children's performance before and after creation activity.Besides,8 cases are selected to verify the observed experimental results.As to interview,it means that teachers,according to the interview outline prepared in advance,have an interview with parents to discuss the change,as they observed,in children creation.The interview is recorded and analyzed so as to further examine and verify the outcome of experimental observation and case study.After analyzing the experimental outcome,the main point of this research can be concluded as follows:(1)the delivery of low-structural material affects children's creation.Once low-structural material is delivered,the children in the bottom class of kindergarten show an obvious improvement in their curiosity level,discovery level and game-playing level,which proves the delivery is beneficial to the creativity of these children.(2)children in the bottom class of kindergarten is capable enough to use low-structural material.About the use of the material,children are willing to actively observe the material,like to explore new methods for playing with the material and can establish their own game-playing goal as well as indulge themselvesin the activity in art area.Besides,these children use new operation method and create innovative work.Based on the conclusion above,some suggestions and strategies for teachers to suitably deliver low-structural materials in art area are proposed.To be specific,the suggestions include: delivering materials according to the capability and interest of the children in the bottom class of kindergarten,delivering material by batches,delivering various low-structural materials,encouraging children to participate in the delivery of low-structural material.
