Rural Residents' Urbanization Willingness Within Context Of Urban Integration

Urbanization willingness study is an emerging category of urbanization study.It has been widely used since the vigorously promotion of new-type urbanization.As a bottom up method,urbanization willingness study starts from rural residents to discuss urbanization issues and provide new thoughts for it.And as a city clustering developing pattern endemic to China urban integration,urban integration can coordinate regional developing and enhance integral level.It is meaningful to analyze whether it can promote urbanization or not.This research was done within the context of the urban integration of Nanjing,Zhenjiang and Yangzhou.It took Danyng city as an example and started from urbanization willingness to discuss the urbanization development under this special background.Materials were acquired from questionnaire and field research.Empirical research was done on the base of it to offer reference for policy making and city planning.This paper started from the background research of urbanization in Danyang.It studied the function of city clustering developing pattern and the role which small cities act by analyzing current situation of urbanization in China.Then it compared characteristic of urbanization development among major cities in NingZhenYang region and focused on the process and characteristics of Danyang city.According to the background research,this study analyzed the influencing factors of rural residents' urbanization willingness from the aspects of inner personal factors and outer environmental factors.Binary logistic analyze models were used to study the influence of urban integration.Finally,it discussed the developing path within the context of urban integration combined with rural residents' appeals.The results showed that in inner personal factors,occupation and family income are apparently correlated with urbanization willingness.And in outer environmental factors,education,living cost and policy welfare have significant influence.Also,the urban integration can have positive impact on urbanization willingness by making urban life more attractive to rural residents,and so to promote the urbanization process.
