Research On The Performance Of Technology Business Incubators Of Different Investors From The Perspective Of Network

As a center-node of knowledge network, capital network and strategic management network, Technology Business Incubators(TBIs) has a role in promoting the survival and development of start-ups, fostering entrepreneurs, enhancing the transferring rates of scientific and technology achievements. TBIs can promote employment, enhance regional economic strength and buildup the national innovation system. Many scholars studied the performance of technology business incubators from the perspective of social network, but most of their research was confined to the performance of one type of incubators or the performance of all incubators, and they rarely explored the performance of technology business incubators of different investors from the perspective of network. So, this thesis divided Technology Business Incubators into four types(PuTBIs, UTBIs, PrTBIs and HTBIs) based on difference of investment subjects and applied Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis methods to study the performance of technology business incubators of different investors from the perspective of network.Firstly, this thesis illustrated the research background, reviewed research status, summarized the theoretical basis related to the performance of technology business incubators. This research focused on the theoretical framework of the influence factors of the performance of TBIs, which includes innovative network theory, incubation of economic theory, entrepreneurial orientation theory and the theory of open innovation. The characteristics of innovation network, the functions of incubation industry, the relationships among entrepreneurial orientation, open innovation, and innovation performance were deeply investigated in this paper.Finally, it built multivariate analysis of variance model and multiple regression analysis model of the performance of technology business incubators of different investors from the perspective of network. The former came to the conclusion that the performance of technology business incubators invested by different factors has different significance. The latter built some regression equations. At the end of the this thesis, it put forward some suggestions. Firstly, diversified capital network is of great importance to the performance of TBIs. Secondly, TBIs with different investors should build a knowledge network based on their own characteristics. Thirdly, TBIs should reduce the blind reliance on returned overseas students. Lastly, TBIs should establish a going concern philosophy.
