Research On Efficiency Evaluation And Development Countermeasures Of Guangdong Listed Logistics Companies Based On DEA Malmquist Index

Guangdong has its great advantage to develop logistics industry because of all-round developing and international traffic pattern. And Guangdong developed manufacturing industry is the power to accelerate logistics development. Logistics industry is the pillar industry of the third industry in Guangdong. The stable and lasting development of Guangdong listed logistics companies as important part of logistics industry plays an indispensable role in improving Guangdong economy and optimizing the industrial structure. The efficiency of logistics is an important factor for Guangdong logistics industry development. So it's significant for Guangdong logistics enhancing efficiency to improve market competitiveness.The article uses Data envelopment analysis(DEA) to analysis panel data efficiency for 9 Guangdong listed logistics companies in 2009-2013. And it uses Malmquist index basis on DEA to analysis dynamic efficiency for Guangdong listed logistics companies in 2009-2013. It further analysis the factors of Guangdong listed logistics companies changes of efficiency by evaluating efficiency of the individual samples and overall sample. DEA measures the relative efficiency of the samples. Malmquist can identify the productivity and efficiency changes of the companies which DEA cannot complete. We can understand comprehensive the listed logistics companies from individual enhancing the efficiency and contrasting in industry, which offers exploration direction to companies improve the efficiency.The article analysis efficiency of every company for logistics companies evaluating productivity by themselves. We find that Guangdong logistics companies productivity increased 5.8%. It didn't rise high enough because of economy environment,technical changes and scale efficiency. At last it put forward corresponding decision.
