As for the continuous creation and application of the internet and internet of things technology, the automobile industry that used to be thought as the relatively independent and traditional one is now breaking the industry boundaries, and use information to walk on the way of industry integration. The Internet of vehicles takes as the core competitiveness of the auto companies to improve their brand images and the post-market value has now been practiced and launched related products by many international famous auto companies. China is the biggest auto market in the world, according to the industry forecasts, the planning of China's auto product volume will reach 25 million by the year 2015, the penetration rate of the internet of vehicles' application and service will close to the critical point of 10%, the market volume will probably breakthrough 150 billion Yuan, it is expected that by the year 2020 the recoverable amount of china's automobile will exceed 200 million. Based on the increasingly mature technology of the Internet of vehicles, under the strong driving force of the giant auto market, everything is ready for the comprehensive promotion of the application, all these motive factors will become the opportunities and challenges for the auto industry to develop the internet of vehicles, the internet of vehicles will be the key breakthrough area of the internet of things.This article takes the state owned A motor company as the research object, based on the strategy management theory, using the tools of Potter 's five forces, SWOT analysis, QSPM matrix to do research on A company's macro environment, development situation and trend of the automobile industry and internet of vehicles, clarified A company's outside opportunities and challenges, determined its inside advantages and disadvantages, through the general analysis of A company's development strategy, to confirm A company will integrate its own resource and capacity via finding a suitable cooperative partner and enter the smart car area together, also made the suggestion of practicing strategy implementation by function strategy. According to this article's research, to find a practical way for auto companies to develop the internet of vehicles, and help A company to grasp the opportunity and win the long-term development under the guidance of nation's industrial internet and intelligent manufacturing trend.
