The Situation And Countermeasures Of Landless Peasants Employment And Social Security

With the accelerating urbanization process in China, landless peasants get some financial compensation, and lost the basis of living. Thus, how to solve employment and social security issues of the landless peasants are very import and become the focus of attention.Beilun district, Ningbo city was taken as study area in this thesis. A questionnaire survey was conducted for the landless peasants in this region. The status of employment, social security and existing problems for the landless peasants were analysis. And with summary of successful experience in foreign countries, suggestions for solving problems of employment and social security for the landless peasants in Beilun district, Ningbo city, were offered. These proposals included:creating and improving the rural land acquisition compensation mechanism, improving the land acquisition law provisions and upgrading the legislative level, improving the land expropriation administrative adjudication system, broaden actively the channels of employment, encouraging self employment by policy support, strengthen employment skills training programs and establishing employment service systems.In this study, the status of employment and social security for the landless peasants was analysis during the urbanization process in Beilun district, Ningbo city. At the same time, proposals for protection of the rights of landless peasants in the area were provided, and these suggestions could be taken as reference for making reasonable policy for employment and social security of landless peasants.
