A Study On The Trade Effect Of Chinese FDI To The Silk Road Economic Belt

It is of great importance to study on the trade effect of Chinese FDI to the Silk Road Economic Belt.The Chinese FDI to the Silk Road Economic Belt,which accounted for about 6.9%of Chinese foreign direct investment and trade with the area reached about 25.8%of China's trade with the world.The Silk Road Economic Belt can be divided into the core area,the expansion zone and the radiation zone,due to different regions have different natural resources and product advantages,this thesis is based on three regions for the study of trade effect of Chinese FDI to the Silk Road Economic Belt.Firstly,the relationship between FDI and trade were combed,and Chinese FDI and trade situation of the Silk Road Economic Belt countries are described from a different point of view of FDI and the actual situation of trade,mainly using quantitative and qualitative methods.Then based situation analysis of FDI and trade between China and the "Silk Road Economic Belt",according to different investment motives,namely market-seeking motive,efficiency-seeking motives,resource-seeking motives and techniques-seeking motives,further use Econometrics methods and construct panel data.From the point of view of capital goods and intermediate goods,studying on trade effect of Chinese foreign direct investment to the Silk Road Economic Belt,the study showed that:on the one hand,from the trade effect of capital goods,China on the core areas,the extension area and the radiation zone of direct investment in capital goods exports is trade creation effect,but direct investment in the three regions on imported capital goods is trade substitution effect;on the other hand,from the trade effect of intermediate,the core area of China foreign direct investment in intermediate goods imports have trade creation effect,but intermediate goods export is trade substitution effect,Chinese direct investment in the extension area exports of intermediate goods have trade creation effect,but intermediate goods imports have trade substitution effect,China in the radiation zone of direct investment in imported intermediate goods have trade creation effect,but direct investment in the radiation zone of intermediate goods export trade has a trade substitution effect.Finally,based on the above findings,put forward policy recommendations to expand the Chinese direct investment in the Silk Road Economic Belt.
