| After more than 20 years of development,the marketization reform of urban water supply and drainage enterprises in China is now turning into reforming of ownership.Meanwhile,as a result of social development and rising living conditions,the demand of both municipal administration and water consumers on water.industry such as reliability,monitoring and adequacy has increased significantly.To meet such rising requirements,water supply and drainage enterprises should increase financial sources to collect adequate money necessary for water infrastructure development,enhance product quality,make consumers satisfied to their services,unveil compositions of the water tariffs and improve the relationship among water tariffs concerned parties.Now,municipal water industry is entering into a new era.In order to expand business,water supply and drainage enterprises must restructure their assets through marketization reform,and increase the business centralization through market expansion.Therefore,how to proceed marketization reform is a critical issue faced with water industry in China.This thesis formulated in detail the water market mechanism in western countries such as UK,France and USA,current situation of marketization,competition,major marketizaition patterns and key factors affecting development in China water industry.Then,based upon actual marketization experiences of the author’ company,a company offering water supply and drainage services for central urban area of Chengdu,the thesis discussed the ways to overcome the difficulties encountered in the process of marketization reform.On the one hand,the thesis studied the important influence of the marketizaion on the water industry development.On the other hand,the patterns and features of water industry marketization were carefully investigated,and actual operations of marketization in specific water supply or drainage enterprises were analyzed,which will be helpful to water industry’s marketization operation. |
