Empirical Study Of The Impact Of Logistics Competitiveness On Economic Growth In Sichuan Province

With the development of the market economy,the logistics industry has become the leading industry to guide production and consumption in regions,and the relationship between logistics and economy has become more and more closely.It is increasingly important to improve the logistics competitiveness of all regions.Since the implementation of the strategy of developing the western regions,the economic status of the western region has been greatly improved.Especially,the strategy of "One Belt and one road" has been put forward.The "13th five-year plan" has been formulated and implemented,and the strategic position of the western regions has been further enhanced.It is of great theoretical significance to study the relationship between logistics development and economic growth in Sichuan province which is the important province of western China.This paper aimed at the study of logistics comptitiveness of Sichuan province,and established the evaluation system of logistics competitiveness and economic growth.Through the statistical data of China's Sichuan province from 1997 to 2014,we used factor's analysis to determine the key factors of logistics competitiveness and economic growth.According to the results of the logistics competitiveness scale,logistics competitiveness can be divided into two factors which can be named as logistics development and logistics informationization level.Economic growth contains only one factor named as economic growth.In order to prove whether there is a long-term stable relationship between logistics competitiveness and economic growth,we made a further testing on the basis of factor analysis.According to regression analysis,each factor of the logistics competitiveness has a positive effect on economic growth,which suggests that the improvement of logistics competitiveness of Sichuan province can promote economic growth;and the results show that each factor of logistic competitiveness has a positive effect on economic growth in Granger causality test.Improving logistics competitiveness can promote the rapid economic development,but economic growth has a positive impact on logistics development and has an insignificant positive effect on logistics informationization level.The result shows that logistics development can promote the rapid economic development,but economic development may lead to more investments on logistics development than that of logistics informationization.Finally,some suggestions are put forward for the enhancement of logistics competitiveness in Sichuan province.
