At present,the growing phenomenon of land acquisition leads to the increase of the number of land-lost farmers.Proper arrangements for land-lost farmers and making them better adapt to the landless life are not only related to the life quality of land-lost farmers,but also the important parts of reducing the conflicts and building a harmonious society.There are some problems and difficulties in life and psychological after they moved to the apartments,so the government needs to pay more attention to them and improve the compensation system of land acquisition and social security system,which can guide land-lost farmers faster,better to realize social adaptation.This study used qualitative research methods to interview the 11 elderly.From the perspective of social adaptation theory,the study explored the social adaptation of land-lost farmers,including the basic conditions of farmers,the conditions of social adaptation and the influence factors of their social adaptation.First,the descriptive of relocation experience,compensation status,living environment and social security of land-lost farmers;Secondly,the advantages and shortcomings were summarized of the land-lost life;Thirdly,the study summarize the main influencing on social adaptation of land-lost farmers from subjective and objective aspects;Finally,according to research results,the study make recommendations from the policy,practice and individual levels.The study found that the overall adaptation of land-lost farmers were ups and downs.The life adaption is better and the mental adaption needs to be promoted.Specifically,the respondents who had the pension enjoy the life and have better adaption;the respondents who were older and poorer health status prefer the land-lost life;the psychological adaptation of the respondents are quite different;respondents have relatively strong sense of belonging when they didn't change their neighborhood.Meanwhile,the research found that subjective and objective are the main influence factors of land-lost farmers' social adaptation.Subjective factors embodied in: personal attitude as a key influence factor effect the social adaptation of land-lost farmers;good neighborhood promote the adaptation of the whole villagers;time as the indispensable factors play an important role.Objective factors are: the reducing intensity of labor makes the farmers adapt to the situation;the farmers gain the interests,which increased the level of adaptation.Based on the above conclusion,the study makes the follow suggestions: firstly,in view of the migration policy,the government needs to improve the level of land expropriation compensation and promote land expropriation procedure rationality,which can promote the land rights of farmers;Secondly,social workers need to help farmers to adapt the change of their roles at the beginning,promote the life level in the medium term,and improve their social participation in the later,Finally,for the farmers,the author suggested that farmers can achieve adaptation by personal adjustment and neighborhood assistance.
