A Study On The Economic Radiation Effect Of Hohhot, Baotou And Ordos Economic Circle

Regional Economic Integration has become a great trend in today’s world economic development,recently,with the rapid development of China’s economy,the development strategy of Regional Economic Integration has been preliminary established,the regional structure of multi-polarization has gradually formed,and the economic relations between cities are also growing.As an important carrier of regional competition,the regional central city’s Economic Radiation to the surrounding areas is not only the foundation of Regional Economic Integration,but also the core power of the reform and development of China’s economic modernization,the strength of the Economic Radiation directly decides the sustainable and healthy development of the whole area.With its advantage of energy,the economics of Hohhot,Baotou and Ordos in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has highly developed and made great achievements in recent years,but there is still a big gap among them.After the National Twelfth Five-Year Guideline named Hohhot,Baotou,Ordos and Yulin as the city group of the national development planning,the government of the Autonomous Region puts forward the regional development strategy of Hohhot,Baotou and Ordos Economic Circle and the Yellow Economic Belt,and hopes to improve the region’s economic growth through the central cities’ radition to the economic development of the peripheral area.As a growth pole of the Economic Circle in less developed areas,How is the Economic Radition of Hohhot,Baotou and Ordos to its surrounding areas? What are the problems? And how to improve the radiation of the central cities? All of these have become urgent problems to be researched and solved.Based on regional economics related theory about Economic Radiation and its mechanism,combined with the actual condition of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,and using qualitative and quantitative method,this paper has had a deep analysis through the Economic Radiation Effect of the three central cities to its surrounding eares in Hohhot,Baotou and Ordos Economic Circle,and puts forward the suggestions to improve the effect,which can further enhance the level of modernization of the three central cities,drive the development of the surrounding areas,and also,reinforces the key role of them in promoting the coordinated development of the economic circle.Therefore of this paper deepens the use of the theory and provides a practical refernce value of the regional development.In this paper,there is a total of five chapters,which can be divided into four parts.The first part contains the first and the second chapters,which contains the the introduction,the theoretical basis and the relative concepts of Economic Radiation.The second part is the third chapter,which introduces the general situation and the competive strength of Hohhot,Baotou and Ordos Economic Circle;the third part is the fourth chapter,which is also the core of the paper,This part introduces the actual condition of Hohhot,Baotou and Ordos Economic Circle and analyses the Economic Radiation Effect of the economic circle through industry shift,population,capital flow and technology diffusion between the cities of the economic circle.The last part is Chapter5,which puts forward the paths to strengthen the Radiation Effect of Hohhot,Baotou and Ordos Economic Circle,so that it can be a reference for the futhur development of Hohhot,Baotou and Ordo Economic Circle and other undeveloped regions.
