Study On Level And Competitiveness Of Guangxi Tilapia Industry Cluster

In recent years,China's tilapia industry has developed rapidly;China has become the world's largest tilapia producer and exporter.The climate and water resources are suitable for tilapia growth in Guangxi.Under the support of government,the tilapia industry developed rapidly.In 2013,the national tilapia production was up to 1.66 million tons,286 thousand tons in Guangxi,accounting for 17.26%of total.Guangxi has gradually become China's third largest tilapia farming area.However,due to the effect of competition in international market,the technical efficiency of cultivation and the utilization of processing were low;and streptoccus suis of tilapia has a high influence on yield.So,they were serious constraint to the Competitiveness of Guangxi tilapia industry cluster.Despite of government at all levels in Guangxi spend a lot of energy in attracting investment,but a limited number of processing enterprises,the lower proficiency of development of related industries,supporting institutions imperfect serious influenced the development of Guangxi tilapia industry clusters,which is hindering the further development of Tilapia industrial clusters in Guangxi.In this study,we introduced the background and significance of domestic and international research review,et al.briefly.Clear the basic concepts of agricultural industry cluster formation mechanism and development stage,the theory of industrial clusters are reviewed.Secondly,the current development of Guangxi tilapia industry cluster and formation mechanism and qualitative were analyzed,and applied the location quotient and GEMS model to measured the agglomeration degree and competitiveness and evaluated the level of aggregation development of industrial clusters of tilapia in Guangxi,and according to the analysis,some problems were found.Cluster analysis showed that tilapia industry in Guangxi is facing shortage of tilapia production,seed and feed.At the last of this study we enhanced practical recommendations to improve the competition of industry cluster.In conclusion,the article proposes to increasing aquaculture production through increase the rational development of aquaculture water breeding area;expand financing channels,improve the weak part of industrial chain;encourage enterprise independent innovation,strengthen strategic cooperation between enterprises,increase value-added of tilapia;accelerated development of related and supporting industries,which can enhance the competitiveness of industrial clusters of tilapia in Guangxi,and it has workable ideas and suggestions to provide a new framework to promote social and economic development strategies in Guangxi.Meanwhile,it has an important significance for improving the inter-related businesses tilapia industry specialization and degree of integration,promoting the rapid development of the regional economy.
