Research On The Relationship Between Urbanization And Income Gap Between Urban And Rural Areas In Zhejiang Province

Urbanization of zhejiang province has achieved rapid development in recent years,while the income gap between urban and rural areas are also shrinking.This phenomenon made us reflect on whether there is some kind of interaction between urbanization and urban-rural income gap.So this article take this question to research the relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income gap in zhejiang provinceto take into account the development of urbanization and the narrowing of the urban-rural income gap,and provide reference for other coastal developed province that have a similar development with zhejiang.First of all,on the basis of collecting and organizing the predecessors'researches on urbanization and urban-rural income gap,this article analyzed the relationship between the urbanization and urban-rural income gap In theory.The second,based on the connotation of urbanization,build up the index system of urbanization,measure the urbanization level around the city of zhejiang province by using entropy value method,and combing the development trend of the urbanization level.At the same time,measure the urban-rural income gap around the city of zhejiang province by using Thayer index method,combing the evolution trend of urban-rural income gap,and preliminarily determines there is an interactive relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income gap from the perspective of descriptive statistics.Then based on the panel data of zhejiang province,analyzed the relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income gap of zhejiang province in the empirical from the level of province and area by using simultaneous equation model,and found there is a benign interaction between urbanization and urban-rural income gap in both the provincial level and different area level.Namely the improvement of urbanization level could reduce the income gap between urban and rural areas,while the decrease of the income gap between urban and rural areas could also improve the level of urbanization.The last,came to the conclusion according to summarizing the full text analysis results,and put forward advice in order to take into account the development of urbanization and the narrowing of the urban-rural income gap.
