A Study On The Relationship Between Farmers' Income Structure And Urban - Rural Income Gap In Yunnan Province

China’s income gap between urban and rural areas is growing. The key to expanding incomegap between urban and rural areas is not in the city and in the countryside. The low income offarmer is the main reason for the income gap between urban and rural areas. How to improve theincome of farmers and balanced urban and rural development are today’s society and governmentall concern. The central file of no.1in2013again pointed: Always put the solution of agriculture,rural areas and farmers problems as a top priority for the whole party work. The integration ofurban and rural development as the basic way to solve the problem of "agriculture, rural areas andfarmers", At the same time,urban and rural development as a whole. In the process of farmers’income growth, the farmers’ income growth speed and its income structure are closely related, sohow to optimize the structure of farmers’ income is a key to narrow the income gap between urbanand rural areas and increase farmers’ income.In the remote western region of Yunnan province, is a China’s economy less developedprovinces, however, the rapid development of the town is not less favorable in other provinces, butthe rural poverty is terrible. By the end of2011,10.14million rural poverty population in Yunnanprovince, accounting for34.64%of the rural population, ranking second in the country. On theother hand, the income gap between urban and rural areas in Yunnan province, intensifying, andone of the largest provinces is the income gap between urban and rural areas. In the farmers’income structure of Yunnan province, compared to a national average of peasant family, businessincome ratio is obviously too high and the proportion of wage income was too low. How toimprove the level of farmers’ salary income, multi-channel to provide employment for ruralmigrant farmers, optimize the structure of income of farmers is to promote rural residents incomefast and stable growth in Yunnan province, the important measures to narrow the income gapbetween urban and rural areas.This paper generalizes the related theory of income gap between urban and rural areas andgeneralizes the current farmers’ income structure, the income of farmers and the income structurein Yunnan province are analyzed, and pointed out the problems of farmers’ income structure in Yunnan province and its correlation with the income gap between urban and rural areas. Then useTal index to measure the income gap between urban and rural areas of Yunnan province and China,and to the comparative analysis between the two, and then contact with the source of income ofrural residents in Yunnan province during the period of periodic change, analyzes the relationshipbetween the two. Finally through the multiple linear regression model to the various sources ofincome of rural residents in Yunnan province’s contribution to the income gap between urban andrural areas is calculated, the conclusion is to narrow the income gap between urban and rural areasin Yunnan province and to raise the income level of farmers, should be raised salary income in theproportion of farmers’ income structure, reduce the family business income in the proportion offarmers’ income structure. At the same time for the government to increase the metastatic spendingon rural residents, and multi-channel increase farmers’ property income.
