Research On Interactions Between Producer Services Industry And Manufacturing Industry In Resource Based Regions

The world economy is changing from "industrial economy" to "service economy".In this process,the integration of service industry and manufacturing industry is a major feature of global economic development.As an important component of the modern service industry,the production and service industry,its development and growth,on the one hand can improve the overall efficiency of industrial output,on the other hand can optimize a country's industrial structure and achieve economic upgrading.As the world's manufacturing power,China also need to rely on the support and guidance of producer services to achieve "Made in China" to "China to create",powerful manufacturing industry international competitiveness can promote the prosperous development of producer services in reverse.As one of the typical resource-based areas in the country,Shanxi's economy has experienced the stagnation of economic growth after experiencing the glory of coal "golden decade",facing the double task of industrial transformation and upgrading and economic structural adjustment.In addition to coal and other resource industries,the manufacturing industry,especially the equipment manufacturing industry,has always been a well developed as well as a solid foundation sector in Shanxi,it is also faced with the reality that the internal structure is unreasonable,the product competitiveness is weak,and the market share is not high.The development level of producer services in Shanxi province is also lagging behind,and the manufacturing industry and producer services has not achieved a positive interaction,which is an urgent need to solve the problem of "resource curse".Firstly,this paper reviews the achievements of previous studies on the interactive development of the two industries,and makes a review of the literature.Through the multi angle of view,this paper introduces the value chain theory,transaction theory and division of labor theory to explain the interaction mechanism between producer services and manufacturing industry,and also gives an overview of resource economy.After that,this paper discusses the successful cases of the development of the two industries in the resource based regions in developed countries,and analyzes the problems existing in the development of producer services and manufacturing industry in Shanxi.Then,using the method of econometric analysis,this paper makes an empirical analysis on the manufacturing and producer services and its sub-sectors from the perspective of the whole and the sub-industries.It is found that there is a positive correlation between the two industries,the grey relational analysis method is used to get the correlation coefficient between the manufacturing industry and producer service industry.Finally,combined with the reality of Shanxi Province,the paper puts forward some policy suggestions to promote the development of the two industries.
