Research On The Influence Of Modular Design And Process Automation On Innovation Culture In Mass Customizaters

The product mode has been changed from mass production into mass customization,and enterprises rapidly and flexibly satisfy the various and unknown demand by using modular design.In the meantime,technology improvement has brought extensive use of automation to replace the use of hand made.This improvement not only increases the production efficiency obviously,but also increases the stability of the product quality.And it has provided technology condition for the simplification and improvement of organization structure.The distinct function of enterprise culture is to unify thoughts and people,and it is also a complementary mechanism for the formal institution and provides power for chasing goals.Different culture will embody the common character of enterprise culture in a specific dimension,such as innovation culture will promote innovation activities.The existing literatures for the researches of the relationship among production mode,technology and innovation culture in mass customization environment more focused on that innovation culture has positive effect on technology and innovation of product.And the research of this area is lack of empirical study.Therefore,this research tries to study the influence of modular design and process automation on innovation culture.In consideration of the fact that production mode and technology can all be acquired from outside by buy and M&A,but two specific firms that even with the same production mode and technology cannot integrate and absorb those from the outside in the same level because of the different internal environment.So the factor organization climate has been concluded in this research.In this research,explaining variables are modular design and process automation,explained variable is innovation culture,and moderating variable is organization climate.The object of study is mass customization firms.It reflects how modular design and process automation will influence on innovation culture in different organization climate.This research propose hypotheses on the basic of theory study and literature analysis,and collect data by using questionnaires.The data analysis software is R 3.31.The hypotheses are tested by reliability analysis,validity analysis,correlation analysis,and regression analysis etc.The results are including:Modular design has a significant positive effect on the formation of innovation culture;Automation has a significant positive effect on the formation of innovation culture;The relationship between modular and innovation culture is not moderated by organization climate;The relationship between automationand innovation culture is moderated by organizational climate.Finally,discussion of result is followed,and innovation and enlightenment is summarized.The limitation of this study and the direction of further research is pointed out.
