Previous researches have shown that English teaching in Vocational School should be combined with profession knowledge.It can promote the comprehensive qualities of students and be prepared for the students' employment.E-commerce major is one of the important majors in Huangyan No.2 Vocational School.It is necessary to train the students' abilities of higher professional English.After a lot of sufficient investigations and deep interviews,the research focuses on the development of school-based material of the combination of English course with professional knowledge based on “the employment as guidance and principle of utility”.All kinds of researches have shown that there are a serious of problems in the present English teaching.For examples: English materials are not contacted with profession,teaching methods are a little traditional and the evaluation system is simple and so on.These problems make students lack of interest in English learning and their comprehensive qualities limited.Based on the requirements of English teaching outline,the need of English curriculum reform and the promotion of students' professional abilities,the school-based material need to be written,which is on the combination of English course with profession knowledge.This school-based material has been developed.It is about the combination of E-commerce major with English course.The main clue of the development is the workflow of E-commerce.The concerned basic English knowledge is included.The school-based material about English teaching combined with E-commerce major has been practiced in some E-commerce major classes.According to the survey,many teachers and students think highly of it.The school-based material will be improved gradually and used more widely.
