| Since 1978,China’s urbanization has made great progress,but there have been some urbanization quality problems such as “urban disease”,“rural hollow” and “ghost town”.The government departments,experts and scholars paid a great deal of attention to the urbanization quality problems.Consequently,many experts and scholars made a number of policy recommendations;one of them was to improve the level of services agglomeration.Therefore,it is necessary to study the impact of services agglomeration on the urbanization quality,the circumstances is true to Anhui Province.This essay reviews the theory of industry agglomeration,industrial location theory and new economic geography theory,and elucidates the causes and manifestations of the specialized agglomeration and diversified agglomeration effect of the service industry,and analyzes the mechanism about the impact of service specialized agglomeration and diversified agglomeration on the urbanization quality: The division of labor leads to the specialized agglomeration of services.Through the division of labor,the production efficiency is improved,the profits of the manufacturers are improved,and the scale of agglomeration is enlarged.Thus,the growing population brings a lot of diversified consumer demand and the diversified agglomeration of services begins.Consumption,investment continues to increase,the infrastructure is improving and the level of material urbanization is improved;specialization and diversified agglomeration bring huge profits and the profits make the direction of urban investment turn to the clean industry like services instead of high-polluting and high energy consumption industries.The urban environment has been improved rapidly.The increasing population challenges the field of public services and urban security.So,the government take efforts to improve the level of urban governance and public services and the level of spiritual urbanization is improved,which ultimately promote the urbanization quality.According to the influence mechanism,it is clear that the specialized agglomeration and diversified agglomeration of the services have the positive influence on the urbanization quality in Anhui Province.The quality evaluation system of urbanization in Anhui Province is constructed and the entropy method is used to measure the urbanization quality of Anhui Province.The conclusion is that the urbanization quality of Anhui Province is increasing year by year but the regional difference is obvious.We use the location entropy to measure the services agglomeration index,and conclude that there are industry and regional differences in the service industry agglomeration level,and the cities with high services agglomeration degree also have higher urbanization quality.Using the Herfindahl exponential variant to measure the agglomeration coefficient of service industry.By constructing the econometric model of the effect of services agglomeration on the urbanization quality,the empirical results show that the specialization and diversification have a significant effect on the urbanization quality,but the effect of diversified agglomeration is greater than that of specialization,thus confirming the hypothesis.It is suggested that the following measures should be taken to promote the diversification of service industry,to guide the regional division of labor,to strengthen regional cooperation,to improve the infrastructure construction,to optimize the investment environment,and to exert the government regulation function to encourage the private capital investment. |
