The Input-output Analysis Of Energy Utlization In Fujian Province

Energy is an important basis and guarantee for the economic development of a region.In recent years,with the rapid economic growth in Fujian province,energy consumption has increased significantly;the contradiction between supply and demand of energy has become the restricting factor of economic growth.At the same time,the environmental pollution problems indirectly by the energy consumption will to be new challenges to the construction of ecological.So,it is of great significance to systematically analyze energy utilization and main factors affecting the energy consumption.The existing researches mainly focus on building DEA evaluation model of energy efficiency,the method has great subjectivity.So the result is inconsistent with the reality and unable to accurately analyze the level of energy efficiency in Fujian province.However,Input-output method is able to analyze the numerical relationship objectvely between the energy sector and other sectors.Therefore,apply the input-output technology and structure decomposition analysis to the empirical analysis of energy utilization in Fujian province.Use the input-output tables of 144 sectors in 2007 and 139 sectors in 2012 in Fujian Province,take actual sitiation into consideration,combine with the related index datas,establishe the comparable energy input-output tables of 26 departments in 2007 and 2012,and apply it on analyzing energy utilization and industry spread effect.In order to in-depth analyze main influence factors of energy utilization,we build structural decomposition model to analyze it mainly from three aspects:energy intensity,the progress of technology and final demand.Thestudy found that there are the following problems about energy development:The difference of energy sonsumption among the sectors is large;the energy "bottleneck" restricts economic development;technological progress has greatly improved the efficiency of energy utilization,saving energy resources,but some of industries exsisted the "rebound effect",that is it promotes economic growth led to increase energy consumption offsets the decrease energy by improving energy efficiency because of technological progress According to the existing problems of energy utilization in Fujian province and put forwards the following policy suggestions:optimize the industrial structure of Fujian Province;to strengthen the administrative examination and promote awareness to energy conservation;diversify energy sources to get rid of excessive dependence on coal;rely on scientific and technological progress,promoting the sustainable development of energy.But technological progress exists "rebound effect",and therefore it can not as the only way to improve all the departments' energy efficiency.So,the industrial adjustment,price reforms shoule be took into consideration.
