| In recent years,China’s cross-border e-commerce has shown a rapid growth trend,while traditional foreign trade development are slowing down.In 2016,China’s import and export volume of goods was 24.33 trillion,of which cross-border e-commerce transactions have reached 6.3 trillion,which indicated that cross-border e-commerce has become one of the most important point of China’s foreign trade growth.With the implementation of the "the Belt and Road" strategy,China’s cross-border e-commerce begins to expand its orientation from the developed countries to the potential neighboring developing countries,naturally,Myanmar included.Myanmar’s cross-border e-commerce development is still in its infancy,but the potential of the market is not a little.At the same time,Myanmar is working for the reform and opening up and the government has been gradually attached importance to the development of cross-border e-commerce.They realized that it is high time to speed up the construction of infrastructure such as transportation and communication facilities that will provide a good condition for cross-border e-commerce.China and Myanmar have been in a good relationship during long history.The two countries has become the important trade partners of each other due to the highly economic complementarity,and also kept a close communication in political,cultural and other areas.Under the trend of globalization of e-commerce,China has become the world’s largest e-commerce country,and has great advantages in technology,capital,logistics,markets and other areas.China is the world’s largest manufacturing country and the products are of both higher quality and lower prices.Therefore,China’s e-commerce is fully equipped with the necessary basement and advantages to get into the Myanmar’s market.Most of the Myanmar’s enterprises are of small and medium scale.It is difficult to expand the scale of enterprises through the traditionaltrade form.Through e-commerce,China will provide a huge market of 732 million internet users for Myanmar.Sino-Myanmar cross-border e-commerce cooperation conforms to the rules of economic and social development and the trends of the times and has a deep cooperation basis.Sino-Myanmar cross-border e-commerce cooperation can make full use the resources,create economic benefits and deepen the political mutual trust between the two countries,being of great significance to the economic and social development of the two countries.According to literaturereview,scholars’ research focuses on the macro level of cross-border e-commerce,while there is little research on Sino-Myanmar cross-border e-commerce.Based on the existing research,this paper carries out an in-depth research on the business environment of cross-border e-commerce in Myanmar,collecting the primary data.I designed the "Online Shopping Questionnaire of Myanmar People" and conducted the survey in Yangon and Naypyidaw.On the basis of the research,this paper analyzes the feasibility of cross-border e-commerce cooperation between China and Myanmar by using PEST analysis from the four aspects including politics,economy,social culture and technology.The analysis shows that there is a bright future in Sino-Myanmar cross-border e-commerce cooperation which will make Myanmar’s economy development environment improved,B2 C cross-border e-commerce get rapid development,and greatly improve the benefit of the bilateral trade.However,there are still some constraints on the development of cross-border e-commerce cooperation,such as Myanmar’s infrastructure construction lag behind,low mobile teledensity,undeveloped payment and logistics system and so on.Based on the above analysis,this paper puts forward some proposals on how to accelerate Sino-Myanmar cross-border e-commerce cooperation,hoping to provide meaningful reference for enterprises and relevant departments that engaged in cross-border e-commerce between China and Myanmar. |
