The Study Of Rural Transformation And Spatial Restructuring

Since the new century,to deal with the continuous "three rural" issues,the government has formulated a series of policies to improve the conditions for production and farmers' livelihood,and actively use the market forces to promote rural economic development.The active cooperation between government and the market has improved the overall development in rural areas,while issues in various degrees such as power penetration,capital erosion and disappearance of spatial characteristics have emerged.According to the Neo-Marxist,space is the product of social relations and acts on it in return.In view of this,from the social-spatial perspective,this paper embeds the rural transformation and spatial reconstruction into the developing relations among government,market,farmers and other stakeholders.Based on the analysis of the dominant mode and existing problems & its causes in rural transformation and development,it is pointed out that to develop village community's autonomy is an effective means to realize sustainable development in these areas.Starting from exploring the connotations of village community's autonomy and following its lead,this paper discusses the transformation scheme of rural development and puts forward the path for rural transformation and spatial reconstruction from social,economic and spatial aspects.First of all,based on a review of relevant research both at home and abroad,this paper makes an analysis of current dominative modes in rural development and transformation with a dialectical view of positive and negative effects of rural transformation and spatial reconstruction in each mode and explores the roots that cause negative effects.Secondly,through the exploration of the concept of village autonomy and its connotative meanings,the logical relation between village autonomy and rural sustainable development is constructed and the path to rural transformation and spatial reconstruction under the orientation of village autonomy is discussed.This paper points out that from the social aspect,reconstruction of village community helps to enhance village's dominant position in rural development and promote “active transformation” in rural areas.From economic aspect,the innovation of cooperative economic development model helps to promote sustainable economic development in rural areas and achieve hematopoietic capacity.From spatial aspect,by changing the way resources are allocated and with village as subject,to rectify agricultural land,organize construction land,revitalize the natural human resources help to optimize the rural spatial pattern and thus realize better inheritage of “geographical spatial characteristics” in villages.Finally,with a case study of the development process of Hao Tang Village in Xinyang City,Henan Province,this paper analyzes its dilemma and turning points during its transformation under government and social organizations' guidance explores the process of how village autonomy is constructed in Hao Tang Village,and analyzes the path to rural transformation and spatial reconstruction under the guidance of village autonomy as well as its characteristics.The case study is also support to main points in this paper.
