The Research Of Modular Production And Knowledge Absorptive Capacity On Mass Customization

With the rapid development of economy and technology,people's living standards have changed dramatically,and at the same time,consumer demand is also changing,showing a trend of increasingly diversified and personalized.In order to meet the changing needs of consumers,the enterprise on the basis of the original products increasing process to increase some functions of the product,which led to the production of products required engineering and technical means become more and more complex,exacerbated the competition between enterprises.So,how to effectively reduce the products needed in the process of design and production of production process and complexity,and to meet customer requirements under the premise of greatly shorten the production cycle of new products,improve market competitive advantage become the focus of scholars' attention and research.In this paper,we summarize the existing literatures at home and abroad,first summarizes the theory of modularity,the theory of knowledge absorptive capacity and the theory of mass customization.at the same time to briefly expounded the relationship between them.And then explores the impact of modular production and knowledge absorptive capacity on mass customization,including shortening the development cycle of new products,reducing the delivery time and custom costs of custom products.In addition,we also found that knowledge absorptive capacity plays a mediating role between modular production and mass customization.For the purpose of the research,121 manufacturing enterprises in Henan Province as a sample,by using the methods of empirical research,the analysis constructs the conceptual model of modular production,knowledge absorptive capacity and mass customization capability of the three variables,to study the relationship between the three,and at the same time analyzed the knowledge absorptive capacity of the intermediary role between the two.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: 1.there is a significant positive correlation between modular production and mass customization.By adopting the modular production mode,the production efficiency is improved,theproduction cycle is shortened,the production cost is reduced,and the capacity of mass customization is improved;2.There is a significant positive correlation between modular production and knowledge absorptive capacity,The higher the degree of modular production,the more the accumulation of modular technology,the stronger the absorption of modular knowledge;3.There is a significant positive correlation between knowledge absorptive capacity and mass customization.The improvement of mass customization mainly depends on the learning of external knowledge,the stronger the ability of knowledge absorption,the faster the increase of enterprise customization ability;4.Knowledge absorptive capacity plays a mediating role between modular production and mass customization.Therefore,on the basis of modular production,we will strengthen the organizational learning of employees and enhance their ability to absorb external effective knowledge.Through the integration with internal knowledge,improve the innovation ability of employees,improve the existing production process,it is significant to improve the competitive position of enterprises.
