As the two wings of a country’s socio-economic development, urbanization and industrialization is the way to modernization.According to the statistics, published in 2015,at present,China’s total population is 1.375 billion, and the urbanization rate is 56.10%,nearly half of the population still lives in the countryside.By collecting other country’s data at the same stage of development,we can see that the development of urbanization and industrialization in our country is not coordinated.Urbanization and industrialization as an important side of the development of a country, its uncoordinated development is bound to hinder our economic and social construction. Therefore, the study of the relationship between the two has important theoretical and practical significance for China’s modernization construction.Through the study of the relevant literature, this paper finds that the domestic and foreign scholars on the urbanization and industrialization began in the 90’s,and the research results, mainly from the policy level, market competition, urban and rural dual structure and other macro aspects of the interpretation, but rarely from the perspective of investment tendencies to elaborate.Based on this, this paper attempts to bridge the process of industrialization of urbanization and capital-intensive investment to improve the interpretation of this phenomenon. This paper analyzes the present situation of the relationship between industrialization and urbanization in China by using comparative analysis method. It is found that there is a deviation between urbanization and industrialization in China. This deviation not only has the characteristics of time stage but also has regional characteristics. The characteristics of the stage are mainly manifested in the different stages of economic development. And with the acceleration of the process of China’s economic reform and the degree of market-oriented increase, the deviation between the two has a narrow trend;from the regional characteristics of the two deviations, the industrialization of the central and western regions is not enough to drive the urbanization, and the two are lagging behind. But compared to the central and western, eastern urbanization and industrial development is generally coordinated. Then this paper uses the system analysis method to analyze the capital-intensive investment tendency of our country from the founding period and explains this tendency. In addition to giving a theoretical explanation of China’s urbanization and industrialization bias from the perspective of capital-intensive investment inclination, the article also uses the provincial panel data and the national level time series data to test, through the data descriptive statistics, panel regression, time Sequence of Granger causality analysis and other measurement tests found that: China’s investment in capital-intensive industries since the founding of the country has led to the non-coordinated development of urbanization and industrialization. This tendency has led to the obvious lack of employment in China’s industrialization, thus slowing down the process of rural population’s transformation to urban population,The process of urbanization is slow.In the final,on the basis of the above discussion, the article briefly analyzes the drawbacks to China’s economic and social development. At the same time the article puts forward the path of the coordinated development of the two,the main recommendations are:(1)adjust the factor prices and then adjust the rate of return on capital to guide the investment balance;(2)local governments who pay attention to the speed of economic development should pay more attention to the quality of economic development;(3)vigorously develop non-agricultural industries,in order to increase the elasticity of labor demand brought about by the economic growth, thus creating more employment.
