Research On R&D Status, Changing Trend,and Evolution Path Of Technology Innovation Of Rare Earth Upsream Industry

Through analysis of patent literature,DMC co-occurrence analysis,patent citation analysis,the technological R&D and technological innovation trend of the rare earth upstream industry was analyzed based on patent analysis.First of all,through the statistics of patent documents,this paper analyzes the the technological R&D and technological innovation trend of rare earth upstream industry in 1967-2015 from the patent application trends,patent technology life cycle,regional distribution,high-yield research and development institutions,patent applicants,hot technology distribution and other aspects.Secondly,the DMC co-occurrence network was created to explore the core technology distribution features of rare earth upstream industry.This paper also maps the core technology changes based on the method of patent map.The ore extraction of scandium,yttrium,lanthanides,radium or thorium compounds;rare earth nickel/cobalt/iron alloy synthesis;catalyst preparation and production have been the core technology of the rare earth upstream industry.Superconductor devices and superconducting materials,extraction of iron,cobalt,nickel and other precious metals,alkaline earth elements,other metal elements,as well as inorganic salts,hydroxy acid salts,rare earth preparation and production of catalysts,engine exhaust treatment are the potential technology development trend of the rare earth upstream industry.Finally,based on the patent citation network of rare earth upstream industry technology,this paper finds out the technology evolution path of the rare earth upstream industry.From the map of technology evolution path can be seen,the key patents of 1967-1998 are DE2848964-A,etc..The key patents of 1990-1997 are JP3016168-A,etc..The key patents of 1998-2006 are EP891957-A1,etc..The key patents of 2007-2015 are CN102268575-A,etc..The technology evolution trend of rare earth upstream industry mainly include purification,extraction and separation of rare earth;the composite materials of rare earth and nano materials would be the future technology development trend of the rare earth upstream industry.
